A court in Tatarstan has postponed consideration of the case about bankruptcy «VIM-Avia»

The arbitration court of Tatarstan on Tuesday postponed to February 7 consideration of the case about bankruptcy of airline «VIM-Avia» at the request of the Ulyanovsk JSC «Spektr-Avia», the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

«In connection with the finding of the case to the court of appeal the court considers it necessary on its own initiative to postpone the hearing until the return of the case to the court of first instance, therefore, postponed the trial on 7 February,» the judge said.

Postponement requested by the representative of «VIM-Avia», noting that the debtor is still not able to see the materials of the case, as they were in the court of appeal. In addition, according to the representative of the defendant, the court at the moment there is no information about the debtor’s property.

The representative plaintiff gave the court the certificate of ownership of the defendant for five aircraft. The court has attached them to the case.

In September 2017, more than 2 thousand Russians were not able to return to Russia from vacation due to the massive delay and cancellation of flights «VIM-Avia», which led to the arrest of the aircraft for the debts, exacerbating the difficult financial situation of the airline. In October, «VIM-Avia» stopped flights from-for financial problems. Its accounts payable, according to Rosaviation, amounted to about 10 billion rubles, and the operator certificate of the carrier is suspended.

In December the Basmanny court of Moscow in absentia arrested the co-owner of airline «VIM-Avia» Rashid Mursekaev and the former Finance Director of airline «VIM-Avia» Alevtina Kalashnikov. Mursekaev and informed Kalashnikov left Russia and was declared internationally wanted.
