A humanitarian mission headed by the mufti of Moscow Ildar Alyautdinov and well-known Russian actor Marat Basharov has supported Syrian refugees in Akkar district on the border of Syria and Lebanon, the correspondent of RIA Novosti from the event.

The Russians brought warm clothes, gifts, food, and fuel. The camp is home to more than 800 people, including 500 children. They live in wooden tents covered with tarps. Most of the local kids left without one parent. In addition, most people living in the camp Akkar originally from Deir ez-Zor. The aid distributed in a quiet mode, conflicts arose.

«The refugee situation is terrible, the Russian Muslims will increase the rate of assistance and support, since the camp is not even a normal drinking water. Not to mention warm cloths and food», — said the mufti Alyautdinov. He added that help from the Russians, Muslims and Russia is very significant.

In turn, Basharov said that he was glad to take part in a humanitarian mission and that children need constant care. «It’s not only the people but also to States that are willing to help,» he added.

Earlier Tuesday it was reported that in Beirut there was a meeting of representatives of the Russian community with the mufti of Moscow by Aliautdinov and actor Basharov.
