Two modules for flight testing of the second heavy launch vehicle «Angara-A5» is sent from Omsk to Moscow, informs on Tuesday, the Center Khrunichev.

The rocket consists of six modules. Four installed on the first stage, one working on the second and third steps. Two modules of the first stage are already in Moscow and tested.

Now in Moscow sent one module of the first stage and one second (the so-called Central module).

Polyot» – branch of Khrunichev Center, which organized the serial production of the universal rocket module (URM), shipped on the Moscow production site of the next two modules of the type URM‑1″, — stated in the message.

Carrier rockets of type «Angara» are environmentally friendly, as their engines run on kerosene and oxygen, without the use of highly toxic heptyl. All the family, designed in a modular type, includes missiles four classes (from light to heavy) with carrying capacity from 3.8 tons to 35 tons for launches from the cosmodrome «Plesetsk», and in the future — with «East».

The first flight of the heavy «Angara» was held on 23 December 2014. The second launch is scheduled for spring 2018 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome.
