The CPS on its website warned of an outbreak of hepatitis A in Ukraine.

«The CPS drew attention to the epidemiological problems of viral hepatitis And… is currently ongoing outbreak of hepatitis A in the Mykolaiv region, where as of 5.01.2018 sick 47 people, of which 38 were hospitalized, including 6 children. Two of the cases noted severe course of infection,» — said in the message.

According to the Ministry of health of Ukraine, who leads the Ministry, for 11 months of 2017, there were 29 outbreaks of hepatitis A. They were registered in families, in children’s organized groups, institutions of learning, objects of public catering and trade. In most cases, the reasons for the formation of foci was a violation of the epidemiological requirements at facilities, and poor personal hygiene.

It is reported that in the Nikolaev area continues epidemiological investigation and research of drinking water. The CPS has strengthened sanitary and quarantine control at checkpoints across the state border. The Agency asks citizens to consider information about the deterioration of the epidemiological situation when planning trips.
