Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said Monday that authorities destroyed a group of rebel police officer Oscar Perez, was preparing a terrorist attack at a foreign Embassy.

«We know that they were preparing an explosion of a car bomb near the Embassy of one of our beloved and respected countries. They paid someone and promised to provide the opportunity to live in Colombia,» said Maduro during his annual report about the work of the government. The speech was broadcast on state television.

Maduro confirmed the rout, the death of a number of its members and arresting others. About the fate of Perez official information yet, sources in the government told CNN that he killed.
