Budapest has not yet applied for permission to re-23 MiG-29, reported RIA Novosti Deputy Director of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia Anatoly Punchy.

As reported earlier, British edition of Defence & Security Intelligence & Analysis, specializing in the coverage of events in the field of military equipment and arms, Hungary auctioned 23 decommissioned military aircraft MiG-29 Soviet and Russian production. The starting price for these machines is 4.8 billion Hungarian forints ($18 million). In addition, the auction 20 engines for the fighters of this type, more than 1.2 thousand parts and a number of missiles capable of carrying the MiG-29.

As the newspaper notes, the application form for participation in the auction, interested parties had to submit from 14 to 16 November, and the final deal must get the approval of Russia.

«The Hungarians put up 23 MiG-29 to the auction. We have not yet agreed on the issue of re-export of these aircraft due to the lack of formal treatment of the Hungarian side. There are appeals to private firms, however, end-users, they do not indicate,» said Punchy.
