Kazakhstan during the visit of US President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed agreements on the purchase of U.S. products to $ 2.5 billion, officials said.

Nazarbaev on Tuesday met with the President of the United States Donald trump and declared Kazakhstan’s readiness to buy American goods at $ 7.5 billion. Trump, in turn, said that exports to Kazakhstan allows US to increase the number of jobs.

According to the state Department, the bilateral trade turnover made up in 2016, $ 1.9 billion, and both countries intend to expand it. During the visit of Nazarbayev to the USA was announced about two deals between Boeing and the two Kazakh airlines in the amount of $ 1.3 billion — according to the state Department, it will contain more than 7 thousand jobs. In particular, the SCAT airlines has ordered six Boeing-737, and the national carrier Air Astana has confirmed the intention to acquire three Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in 2021.

Also the group General Electric and Kazakhstan Railways signed an agreement for $ 900 million — it will add 3.5 thousand jobs in the United States. In particular, GE Transportation will supply 300 shunting locomotives and will provide the service 175 already purchased machines. In addition, GE Digital and the national welfare Fund «Samruk-Kazyna» signed an agreement on strategic partnership. Pharmaceutical company Pfizer has signed a Memorandum of understanding that will start the localization project of company products in the Kazakhstan market.

In addition, countries have committed to start in 2018 technical advice in the framework of the strategic energy dialogue. Under the long-term cooperation of Chevron signed a Memorandum of reinvestment 251 million dollars of profits in Kazakhstani projects.
