Russian President Vladimir Putin in an address to the heads of member States of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) noted great prospects for the signing of the agreement on trade-economic cooperation between the Union and China, reported on the Kremlin website.

Putin stressed that of key importance for the development of the EEU is to maintain close, mutually beneficial cooperation with other States and integration associations.

«2016 is successfully functioning free trade zone with Vietnam. Look forward to the positive results of the ongoing negotiations on FTA with Egypt, Israel, India, Iran, Serbia and Singapore. We see interesting prospects in the signing of the agreement on trade-economic cooperation between the Eurasian Union and China. Convinced of the EurAsEC and Chinese initiative of «One belt, one road» can effectively complement each other», — is spoken in the address.

Putin noted that Russia considers it appropriate «to explore the possibilities of a deeper pairing formats Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States, some participating countries which could become observers in the Eurasian economic community».

In addition, according to the President, Russia intends to focus on further deepening of interregional and border cooperation of the States members of the Union, and thus will give an additional impetus to the integration processes ensure closer cooperation at the regional level the member countries.
