A group of 33 members of the house of representatives on Thursday called on President Donald trump to restore military contacts with the DPRK.

«North Korea is the world’s only nuclear country with which we have no information exchange at the level of military», — stated in the letter, published on the website of one of the authors of Congressman Ro Khanna.

The document notes that «the United States should make every effort to avoid misunderstandings that could lead to significant conflict, including nuclear war.»

«Given your recent comments in support of dialogue with the DPRK and the prospects of establishing contacts with North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN, we encourage you to focus on this relationship as the first step, whereby the two governments can avoid a conflict,» said the congressmen, referring to Trump.
