Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic orchestra will perform in Europe

Maestro Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic orchestra from January 20 to 27, will perform in the concert halls of Munich, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam and Hamburg, the programme includes works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Richard Wagner, Johannes Brahms and Richard Strauss, reported the press service of the Mariinsky theatre.

The first two nights of the tour will be held in the Philharmonic hall, the «Gasteig». On Saturday, January 20, the Munich Philharmonic under the baton of Maestro Gergiev will be performing the Fantasia «Francesca da Rimini» by Tchaikovsky, «Five songs on poems by Mathilde Wesendonck» by Wagner and Symphony No. 3 by Brahms. The next day the same program, only to Tchaikovsky and Wagner will be joined by Strauss will be performed symphonic poem of the composer’s «hero’s Life».
