The representative of the Afghan interior Ministry Najib Danish said that as a result of attack of insurgents on the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul killed five people, six more were injured, including three members of the security forces, informs TV channel Tolo.

According to Danisha, Afghan security forces cleared five floors of the hotel, leaving only the last, sixth floor. Managed to save over 100 guests and hotel employees, among them 16 foreigners. Danish said that all the dead and injured are citizens of Afghanistan. The official also has denied the information on capture of hostages.

Armed militants stormed the Intercontinental Hotel the night before, the situation still fails to take full control. All night were heard shooting and explosions. At the moment, managed to eliminate two of the attackers, but the building is still at least one.

Earlier there were reports of 35 dead and injured, but does not specify how many of them are victims and wounded. It was also reported the fire broke out inside.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul is not the first time comes under attack from militants. In June 2011, nine of the attackers stormed the building victims of the attacks were 12 people. All the militants were liquidated during a special operation.
