The Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist party will be held in Moscow on 27 January, according to the website of the party.

«27 January 2018 in Moscow will be held (January) Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist party», — stated in the message.

Specifies that the event will be held in the village rozhdestvenno Istra district of Moscow region. In a press-service of the party told RIA Novosti that the meeting will be known later.

The last Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist party, held at the end of December, supported the nomination for President of Russia in 2018, the Director of the Lenin state farm Pavel Grudinina. According to the decision of the December Plenum, the Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov was to head the Council of people’s Patriotic forces, which was supposed to assist Grudinina in the political struggle.

The Russian presidential election will be held on March 18, the election campaign officially started on 18 December 2017.
