Flu H1N1 (called «swine flu») in Ecuador for two months has claimed the lives of 22 people, announced Monday the Ministry of health of the South American country.

According to the Agency, from 19 November to 20 January all the different types of flu was detected in almost 500 people, of whom 441 were sick of it «swine flu».

The total number of the deceased is 23 persons, of whom only one died from the effects of another form of the virus, the rest of «swine flu».

According to the portal Comercio, already vaccinated 700 thousand people, and the Ministry of health is still in stock 3.9 million doses of vaccinations.

Swine flu (H1N1 virus), was first recorded in Mexico in 2009, during the first epidemic in 2009-2010, claimed the lives of several thousand people all over the world.
