Hundreds of people Tuesday attended the funeral, the soloist of the Cranberries Dolores O’riordan in Ireland, reports the Irish TV channel RTE.

The funeral was held in the town of Ballybricken, in the County of Limerick, where Dolores grew up, said the channel. The ceremony together with Archbishop Kieran O’reilly held the priest Liam McNamara, a close family friend of the singer. He married O’riordan with her ex-husband Don Burton in 1994. At the funeral the Church was attended by mother, Dolores Eileen, brothers and sisters of the singer – only six, Dolores was in the family the youngest child; the children O’riordan Taylor, Molly, Dakota and stepson Donnie. Former husband of the singer also came to the funeral.

According to TV channel, Dolores O Riordan will be buried in the cemetery next to father Terence O’riordan. On the altar, the relatives put a platinum record, a guitar and a book of poems – symbols of life and musical career of the singer. To describe the loss of Dolores, according to McNamara, there are no words.

At the same time, the British news portal about the life of stars by TMZ, which cited friends of the singer, said other information: according to the information portal, in recent weeks, the singer was «severely depressed» and was suffering from back pain. In addition, it was reported that in 2013, the singer attempted suicide in the background of the depression, O’riordan was diagnosed with manic-depressive psychosis. According to singer, her problem was triggered by experiences in childhood eight years she was subjected to violence by a man whom he knew well, the singer has repeatedly talked about it in the press.

Westminster coroner’s court in London began to investigate the causes and circumstances of death of the singer, as expected, the results of the investigation will be announced April 3.
