To increase production

Earlier, Putin called for the increase to 50% the amount of civilian production in defense enterprises of the country and to conquer foreign markets.

He also noted the need «to make maximum use of the opportunities offered by the re-equipment of enterprises of the military-industrial complex». The head of state recalled that this sector had invested a lot of money, three trillion rubles, «and that everything must go not only to support the defense, but to win the domestic, our own market and foreign markets high-tech civilian products».

At the end of last year at a meeting with members of the Cabinet Putin instructed to follow the reduction of the state defense order and to help businesses and industries so that they are not idle.

The government of the Russian Federation December 21, 2017 approved the state defense order for 2018-2020. The volume was not disclosed.

This year will be the first year of implementation of the new state armament program (SAP) for the years 2018-2028. It was reported that its volume will be 19 trillion rubles, which is the average value comparable to previous TAG.

Diversification in «assistance»

The share of civilian products in the total production Rostec has reached 25%. The President instructed the company to provide this increase by 2025 up to 50%.

Rostec brings together entire sectors of Russian industry: helicopter engineering, engine building, electronics, aircraft systems and components, automotive, firearms, electronic technology and so on. Today the Corporation includes more than 700 companies gathered in 15 holdings, engaged in the development, manufacture and export of high-tech industrial products.

There are already many examples of how military enterprises master the civilian market. So, earlier in the Rostec reported that the Russian company POZIS (Tatarstan), which from the beginning of XX century was engaged in the manufacture of small caliber ammunition, has developed a dedicated refrigerator for the fur — compact analogue of the fur of the room.

Currently, in addition to the traditional manufacturing small-caliber ammunition, POZIS actively develops domestic and medical refrigeration equipment.
