The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill urged the youth «not to look in the mirror» and remember inner beauty, which is much more important than external and it never gets old.

«Today’s young people often dream of a beautiful and happy life. This life looks at them from the covers of magazines, on television, in advertising brochures. They main values are success, material well-being, health and beauty», — the Patriarch said at the opening of the XXVI Christmas educational readings in Moscow.

He noted that «people dream of a life of beautiful and often forget that real beauty — I emphasize, not the gloss and luster, but the real beauty is the inner state of a man.»

«True beauty is first and foremost the beauty of the soul. The beauty that is revealed in the fullness, if a person lives according to conscience, following the eternal moral law given us by God. Such beauty never grows old. No need to look in the mirror. Inner beauty will never spoil your human face, even if there old age. This is the beauty together with soul will pass into eternity», — concluded the Primate.
