A resident of Texas received nearly four years in prison for trying to sell to Russia and China integrated circuits dual-use, announced in a press release from the U.S. Department of justice.

«Shestidesyatiletie Peter Zacarelli from PLANO, Texas, was sentenced to 46 months of imprisonment for conspiracy to commit smuggling and illegal exports from the U.S. radiation-resistant integrated circuits for use in space programs of China and Russia. Zucarelli, also received three years probation and a fine of 50 thousand dollars», — stated in the message of Ministry of justice.

Radiation-resistant chips are used in military and space programs. As stated by the U.S. justice Department, Zucarelli received for the order to $ 1.5 million in violation of existing export restrictions, and tampered with the packaging of chips and gave them to another product.
