Venezuelan opposition says about the government’s violation of agreements in connection with the transfer of presidential elections at the beginning of the year.

The national constituent Assembly of Venezuela agreed to hold presidential elections before 30 April, not the end of the year, as previously planned. President Nicolas Maduro has already announced its consent to nominate for a second term.

«The decision of Venezuelan authorities to unilaterally set the date of election of the President through a National constituent Assembly seriously violates the agreements that were reached with the opposition during the negotiations in the Dominican Republic,» — said RIA Novosti Deputy Simon Calzadilla.

This view was supported by another member Jose Olivares. «The government has broken the dialogue this appeal, made an unconstitutional body, come to the polls in April,» — said RIA Novosti Olivares.

In turn, the authorities reject these accusations, saying that the exact time of elections indicated it was not. «Nobody appointed date December this is not true (that the election is postponed), the election will be in 2018, but no one was talking about the Dec, they could be at any time within 2018,» – said Vice-President of the United socialist party of Venezuela Diosdado Cabello.

Since 1958, Venezuela has held 13 presidential elections. Ten of them took place in December.
