The court of the Amur region upheld the verdict of the man who had received 19 years of imprisonment for kidnapping girls in the Jewish Autonomous region, reports a press-service of investigatory management SK the Russian Federation on the Jewish Autonomous region on Thursday.

Earlier, the court has established that on 21 January 2016 resident of Khabarovsk Krai was forced into their car a ten-year girl who went to school in the village of Volochaevka EAO. The kidnapper with the girl was detained by police in the neighboring Amur region on January 23. Shortly before his arrest, the defendant attempted to conceal the abduction and prepared to murder the child, however, he was prevented by the police.

It is noted that in August 2017 Raychikhinskoe district court of the Amur region convicted found guilty of the kidnapping and the preparation for the murder of a child, a sentence of 19 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. The defense appealed the verdict.

«On Thursday, 25 January 2018, the Amur regional court by results of consideration of the appeal sentence of the district court is left without change, the appeal complaint – without satisfaction», — is spoken in the message.

To uncover the kidnapping of the girls to help 11-year-old student who witnessed the incident and immediately reported it to investigators. In September 2016 on behalf of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin boy awarded certificate of appreciation — «For assistance in solving assigned to the investigative goals.»
