Foreign companies at the world economic forum are showing interest in Russia, despite the difficult geopolitical situation, told RIA Novosti the managing partner of EY in Russia, coordinator of foreign participants at the Consultative Council on foreign investments (FIAC) Alexander Ivlev.

«Despite the difficult geopolitical situation, we see that interest in Russia is, foreign companies leave the Russian market. Due to the fact that now the assets are quite cheap, the interest is starting to attract the interest of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from other countries. There are both European and American companies. Interest is represented by such branches as mechanical engineering, processing, mining and health care», — said Ivlev on the results of the FIAC, held at the «Russian house» in Davos.

He said that during the meeting the sides touched upon a number of issues: the theme of the veterinary certification, the reform of electric power industry, healthcare system, regulation of the activities among law firms, as well as issues related to the development trends of the Russian economy.

«Foreign companies have shown interest, we had about 14 participants of the meeting, the Russian delegation was headed by the head of the Ministry Maxim Oreshkin,» — said Ivlev.
