Royal air force New Zealand found an inflatable boat with the seven missing passengers Thursday of the ferry, reports the new Zealand radio station Radio New Zealand.

As previously reported, the ferry that left port Nonouti 18 December, was supposed to arrive in the capital of Kiribati South Tarawa two days later. After the loss of the vessel, the local authorities launched an operation to search for and rescue of the ferry, this week joined the operation of rescue services and defence forces of New Zealand. On Board were 50 people.

According to the radio, a boat with passengers was discovered 300 kilometres South-East of the island nation of Nauru in the Pacific ocean. A trawler took the survivors from the boats.

It is noted that the operation to search for the remaining missing will be expanded.
