None of the Ukrainian President has not paid much attention to Crimea as pays the Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Such statement in interview to the biggest non-profit news organization National Public Radio (NPR) did the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov.

Aksenov stressed that the region is ever returned to Russia and will never become part of Ukraine. «Crimea will never return to the Ukraine, and pointless to nominate any of the conditions to achieve this goal,» he said.

According to the head of the Crimea, the Peninsula was the «impregnable fortress», which in military terms is not in danger.

With regard to sanctions, according to Aksenova, they almost had no effect on the local economy.

Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum. For this decision voted 95 percent of the residents. A plebiscite was held after a coup in Ukraine.
