Russian President Vladimir Putin connects a constructive relationship with the elected presidents of the Czech Republic and Finland Milos Zeman and Sauli Niinistö, on Monday told journalists the press-Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

«Yesterday the President sent a congratulatory telegram to Mr. Zeman, who won the election and was re-elected President of the Czech Republic. You know that they share enough of the good and very constructive relations. And today have just been sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of Finland Niinisto. You also know that the nature of partnership dialogue between the two heads of state and traditionally constructive relations between Russia and Finland are highly valued by President Putin,» said Peskov.

On Sunday, Putin congratulated Zeman on his reelection as the head of the Czech Republic. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin. The Russian President also confirmed readiness to continue constructive cooperation with Prague on issues of bilateral and international agenda and wished the Meeting good health, prosperity and new successes in state activities.

Putin also congratulated on another victory Niinistö. In greeting the Russian President stressed that the voting results indicate a broad support for Finnish nationals held Niinistö of the course and largely due to his efforts, the relations between Russia and Finland develop in a constructive and neighbourly manner.
