«As far as I know, the police basically acts quite correctly, complaint of unlawful violence, unwarranted detention, we have not yet received. It is clear that uncoordinated action can be expected and 100 detainees, and 200, thank God, so far this has not happened,» said grandma.

His colleague at the HRC Kirill Kabanov, who was present at the venue of uncoordinated action in Moscow, also said that the police behaved absolutely correctly.

Interest and the number fell

As noted by the head of the presidential Council on human rights (HRC) Mikhail Fedotov, the current Number of protest actions in Russia are not comparable with 2011.Protests in Russia: the interest has fallen, the number of participants has decreased© RIA Novosti / Daniil Sheremet HRC called the correct action of the police at the rally in Central Moscow

«The number of these shares with the shares of 2011 are simply not comparable. Yes, they were held in many regions, but the largest number of participants in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, and other cities the number of participants in the hundreds, and then tens of people,» Fedotov said.

According to a member of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation, Director of the Foundation «Research of problems of democracy,» Maxim Grigoriev, the supporters of Navalny is himself not interested to participate in the protests, as it offers no substantive agenda, and his project for the creation of a «headquarters» in the region was only of the nature of PR and has nothing to do with real election campaign.

«It (the reduction in the number of protesters – ed.) is due, in my opinion, that Mr. Navalny is not mounting any meaningful programme of action. And this position itself associated with opposition political power, without any meaningful sentences, by itself is meaningless and gradually becomes unattractive even to his supporters,» — said Grigoriev RIA Novosti.
