. Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople sent a message to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and wished success of the operation «Olive branch», according to Anadolu Agency.

The message expresses hope that the operation will contribute to the restoration of peace in Syria and peace in Turkey.

«With all my heart pray to Almighty God to «operation Olive branch» gave the opportunity to bring peace to Syria and to remove from the agenda the problem of terrorism, which for decades has not lost its relevance for the world community, and cost the lives of thousands of innocent people,» the document reads.
