Film by Boris Khlebnikov «Arrhythmia» received the audience award (Trieste Prize) for best full-length film in competition at the International film festival in the Italian Trieste, reported on Monday the press service of the producer of the film — production company STV.

Trieste Prize is the main prize of the festival, its cash equivalent is 5,000 euros.

The film tells the story of a talented but drinking doctor Oleg (Aleksandr Kutsenko) who works for the ambulance. Oleg knows that his arrival may change everything. Each success makes the world a better place. The most important thing – where he tries to do the impossible. And the rest can wait: family, career, your own life… While Oleg has saved others, the wife (she) was desperate and decided to file for divorce, but the hospital has a new head who cares only about stats and rules.

The film «Arrhythmia» won the Grand Prix of the open Russian film festival «Kinotavr» and prizes for best actor (Aleksandr Yatsenko) at the 52nd International film festival in Karlovy vary International film festival in Chicago, the prize «Golden eagle» for best actress (she), as well as many other Russian and foreign prizes.

International film festival in Trieste, a seaside city on the North-East of Italy, has been held since 1989. This year the festival was held from 19 to 28 January.
