The volume of mutual trade between Russia and Poland in 2017 has increased by a quarter, Russian exports is close to 11 billion dollars, said in an interview with RIA Novosti trade representative of Russia in Poland Vladimir Nefedov.

By the end of 2016, the turnover between the two countries, according to the FCS, totaled 13,057 billion, and Russian exports had 9,099 billion dollars.

«The volume of bilateral trade in 2015 reached a ten-year low, and last year rose by about a quarter. Final figures still need to wait, but we can already say that Russian exports will be close to 11 billion dollars», — said the Agency interlocutor.

He said that three-quarters of the turnover growth was driven by the rising energy prices, while the physical volume of Russian export of oil and natural gas, which account for about 70% of exports to Poland decreased somewhat. At the same time increased both the volume and cost of supplies of Russian coal, petroleum products, chemical products.

The same pace in the past year, ROS and Polish exports, which, however, is more than two times less than match the amount of Russian supplies. Its basis – about 65% – is the products of mechanical engineering and the chemical industry. The once powerful flow of Polish food because of the known reasons were confectionery, juices, processed vegetables, said the Russian trade representative.

However, he noted that in comparison with their maximum values reached in 2011-2013, the volume of Russian-Polish trade turnover last year was lower by about 40%.
