Polish investors in Russia feel much better than the Russian in Poland, said in an interview with RIA Novosti trade representative of Russian Federation in Poland Vladimir Nefedov.

«The numbers of direct investments may not impress, but they are. On the one hand, their volume reflects the rather modest investment potential of Poland, and on the other hand, unfavorable climate prevailing in Poland for Russian investors», — said the Agency interlocutor.

As a good example of the development of Polish investment projects, he led the Torun plant dressings – TZMO, who for several years exports and manufactures in Russia, its hygienic and medical products under the brands Bella, Sumi and others. «The company not only sells its products through a sales network and wins tenders on state orders. In some segments of the Russian market accounts for 60% of sales,» said Nefedov.

Also, according to him, Polish investors have shown interest in the timber industry and crop production. «One such project is now in operation. If you succeed, then the volume of investments could reach about $ 70 million. There is another promising project in the field of agriculture. It is possible to estimate 80-100 million dollars», — said the Russian trade representative.

Things are worse than Russian investors. «As for the Russian investments, in the past year, I note the trades for which you can rejoice and to share them,» said Nefedov. He explained that investors «are very sensitive to politics.» «Russian investments in Poland, the climate cannot be called favourable. The Polish authorities by all means let the participation of Russian investments in the energy, chemical and metallurgical sectors of the national economy. Hence, the volume of Russian investments in Poland is very small – only 0.1% of all Russian investments abroad», — said the Agency interlocutor.

«Polish investors are not afraid to come to us, including the fact that such discriminatory practices in Russia is not observed. Even during the critical period when to impose sanctions and counter-sanctions, the apparent concern of the Polish investors did not show. We are in this period with them met several times, and they did not Express any serious concerns», he concluded.
