Permanent Council of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO) agreed on a «road map» of joint peacekeeping activities with the UN, reported Tuesday on the website of the CSTO.

On Tuesday held a meeting of the Permanent Council of the CSTO, which was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the organization Valery Semerikov, heads of departments and representatives of the CSTO United headquarters.

«During the meeting the participants discussed and approved a draft «road map» — «create conditions for the use of the peacekeeping potential of the Organization of the collective security Treaty in the interests of international peacekeeping activities of the United Nations (for the period from 2018 to 2021)», — stated in the message.

The Council of the collective security Treaty organisation 14 Oct 2016 adopted strategy that identifies the priorities of the organization until 2025. As specified on the website of the CSTO, peacekeeping is one of the main directions adopted in 2016 strategy.

CSTO was established on the basis of the Treaty on collective security signed on 15 may 1992 the member countries of the CIS. The members of the CSTO are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
