The share of the population with incomes below the subsistence minimum in the Russian Federation will decrease in the plans of the Ministry of labour — improvement of the consumer basket, the work on the relationship between minimum wage and living wage, said during a working visit to Adygea, the head of Department Maxim Topilin.

«As a result of these movements should be reduced the share of the population with incomes below the subsistence minimum. If now it is 13-14%, we have to go to 10-11%», — quotes the Minister press service.

The labor Minister also noted that wage growth only in the public sector will not increase the incomes, in this regard, work is underway to increase labor guarantees for all categories of workers.

During the visit of the outlined main areas of joint work with the regions and spoke about the projects related to social protection of persons with disabilities, one of which is the program long-term care. The Minister stressed that given the poor infrastructure and ageing population, the system requires change.
