The Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine declared suspicion the ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and former head of National Bank Sergey Arbuzov in criminal cases of theft, reported on Wednesday the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

«It is declared suspicion and declared wanted by the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on the fact of complicity in misappropriation extracted PJSC «Ukrgasdobycha» and OJSC «Ukrnafta» liquefied gas in especially large sizes that have caused the state damages in the amount of 2.2 billion hryvnia ($77 million)»,- Lutsenko wrote on his page in Facebook.

In addition, according to the attorney General became a suspect as a former head of the National Bank of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov. He is suspected of complicity in misappropriation of funds «Chernomorneftegaz» in the amount of 3.2 billion hryvnia ($114 million) with the purchase of two jackup rigs В312 and В319.

Lutsenko said that the police detained two citizens suspected of money laundering. «Today, they elected a measure of restraint in form of detention or bail in the amount of UAH 1 billion ($35 million — ed.)», — Lutsenko added.
