Russian film festival «Bitter fest», which planned to show the best pictures taken over the past year, will be held July 20-26 in Nizhny Novgorod, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

The agreement providing for the holding of this event, on Wednesday signed the mayor Vladimir Panov, actor and President of the festival «Bitter fest» Michael Porechenkov and Director General of the production center «LYUKSAR» Oksana Mikheeva.

«Today we have a special event, because we signed an agreement to hold the second festival «Bitter fest». It will be held July 20-26… the Festival is a very serious Kinopanorama and very important for us to know about it all the inhabitants of the city. Therefore the city administration will be the maximum support in terms of social advertising. I think we will ask all our partners to use any information platform to bring (to citizens) with maximum quality on all activities in the framework of the festival», — said Panov.

Porechenkov in turn, noted that this year’s festival «will again be the event, there will be many interesting meetings will be workshops, come interesting and famous guests.» «And of course, the festival cannot be without good movies. I think this time we will approach carefully to the selection and can show the best pictures that was released this year,» he said.

Also added Mikheyev, in the framework of the festival planned series of events dedicated to celebrating this year the 150th anniversary of the birth of the writer Maxim Gorky.

According to the city administration, like last year, spectators will see a new full-length and short films from Russian Directors. In addition, the festival will include an extensive programme of master classes, creative meetings with actors and Directors, round tables and competition kinopokaz.

Last year in the framework of the first festival «fest Gorky» Nizhegorodskaya audience saw the work of such Directors as Sergei Loznitsa, Kira Kovalenko, Tamara Dondurey, Daria Vlasova, Alexander Veledinsky and others.
