Lukashenko thanked Kadyrov for help in release of Belarusian from captivity in Libya

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent on Friday a letter to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for his personal contribution and assistance in freeing the Belarusian citizen Vyachaslau Kachura, who forcefully kept for years in Libya.

Earlier, the head of the Russian contact group on the settlement of the inter-Libyan lion Money has told RIA Novosti that the military specialist of Belarus, a former chief of staff of the 334-th separate brigade of GRU of the USSR Kachura released from captivity in Libya.

«Remembering our meeting in Minsk on 25 September 2017 and your promise to apply for its part the necessary efforts for the speedy release of a citizen of Belarus, I want to thank you for your personal contribution to the return of Vyachaslau Kachura home», — quotes a letter to Lukashenka’s press service.

According to the Belarusian leader, given by head of Chechnya, the assistance is of such importance to the President of each country the protection of life, health and interests of compatriots abroad is a «telling example of the friendly and brotherly ties that link the peoples of Belarus and Russia».

As reported in a press-service of Lukashenka, a tribute to the release of Belarusian citizen sent the crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan.

Kachura arrived in Libya in June 2011 in the group of international experts from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. In August 2011, they were detained by revolutionaries, they were accused of collaboration with the regime of former Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi. Later managed to release some of the detainees, however, until the last moment about the fate of Kachura for sure, nothing was known.
