The CEO of the company «ALROSA» Sergey Ivanov presented the Russian President Vladimir Putin the two most expensive diamond mined last year in Russia, reported on the Kremlin website.

At the beginning of the conversation the head of state drew attention to a little black box that Ivanov put before him on the table.

«What did you bring interesting?», — said Putin.

As explained by Ivanov in the box are unique diamonds, mined in Russia.

«Vladimir Vladimirovich, at the end of last year produced two unique diamond. This is the most expensive cost of diamonds mined in the entire history of Russian and Soviet production. This is a unique pink diamond – 28 carats unique color characteristics», — said the head of the company.

«Pink is always the most expensive on the auctions» — he said. In addition, Ivanov confirmed that other stone, which was yellow, is quite rare.

«Yes, and a very intense yellow color. It’s unique characteristics. Nature helped us at the end of last year,» he said.

«You can’t tell that the diamonds» — Putin was surprised.

The CEO of ALROSA agreed that, indeed, at first glance, the stones «look like glass». «It (extracted) on our alluvial deposits of our subsidiary company «Almazy Anabara» — said Ivanov.
