The authorities of Moscow and the Pskov region sign cooperation agreement

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin and acting head of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov signed a five-year agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation.

The signing of the document took place on Thursday on the sidelines of a Russian investment forum in Sochi.

«Pskov region actively cooperates with Moscow for a long time, in almost all areas. Stackable turnover, collaborating in health care. In the last three years 2.5 thousand Pskov received good medical care in Moscow», — said Sobyanin.

«We value this collaboration, and I am grateful to Mikhail, his team quickly prepared a new agreement that will give the opportunity to raise to a higher level of cooperation between our regions», — he added.

Vedernikov called Moscow’s strategic partner in Pskov region. «We do this agreement I wanted to actualize our cooperation. We expect that we will have the opportunity to spend the Days of the Pskov region in Moscow», — said the Governor.

As the press service of the city hall, the document was the first bilateral agreement of Moscow and Pskov region. The agreement envisages the expansion of cooperation in transport, information communications, industry, trade and services, as well as in construction. In addition, the regional authorities intend to cooperate in the field of housing and communal services, science, culture, tourism, sports, environment, family and youth policy.

In 2016, the trade turnover between Moscow and the Pskov region increased by 24% compared to 2015 year and amounted to 6.2 billion rubles. In addition, the regions cooperate in the field of healthcare. So, from 2015 to 2017, treatment in medical institutions of the capital were about 2.4 thousands of residents of the Pskov region.
