The Central Committee of the Communist party of China put forward on Sunday the proposal to remove from the Constitution the paragraph that indicated that the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of China «can occupy the posts no more than two consecutive terms», reported Xinhua news Agency.

If this proposal is reviewed and accepted, then the current leader of the country, XI Jinping will be able to remain at his post not only for the next five years, but longer.

In addition, the CPC Central Committee proposed the ideas of Chinese President XI Jinping on the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era in the text of the Constitution of the state. A statement on the proposal of the Central Committee came after a meeting of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, which took place on Saturday.
