The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Alexander Bastrykin included in the list of people who are denied entry to Latvia in connection with the case of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky, reported Sunday in the online version of the leading Latvian media.

Last Thursday the Minister of foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars rinkēvičs on his page on the social network Twitter has published a record which stated that imposed a ban on entry into Latvia 49 persons. The Minister justified the ban adopted in the Saeima decision on the appeal to establish sanctions for persons associated with the «Magnitsky case», the second part of article 61 of the immigration act and the resolution of the Prime Minister of Latvia from 22 Feb.

The list includes the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, the President of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin, a former employee of special services of Russia, the suspect by the Prosecutor of great Britain in murder of the former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko, Andrei Lugovoi and many others.

«The head of Chechnya, as far as I know, the Embassy of Latvia with a request to issue a visa is not addressed, and for the next 30 years, he plans no such trip. The actions of the Latvian politicians such games on the sandy site,» — said Karimov.

However, he added that «Kadyrov has prompts about a friendly visit from dozens of countries».

Karimov expressed regret about the actions of the «group of politicians of Latvia», which, according to him, «ready to do anything to be eligible for the squeaky voice in the choir, whose conductor is the United States and some Western countries».

«It’s a shame for the people of Latvia, among which thousands of highly educated, intelligent and wise people. We are not going to be like the leaders of Latvia, we build relationships based on friendship, good-neighbourliness and are not going to citizens of Latvia to travel to the Russian ban to stay in Chechnya,» Karimov noted. However, he is confident that the steps the Latvian leaders are «momentary in nature.»

«Russia and Latvia were and are close friends, among whom there are cordial relations. When Latvian people need assistance, the first hand will stretch the Russian people,» — said Karimov.

Latvian Saeima on 8 February called on the government to impose sanctions against persons involved in the case of lawyer Magnitsky. In his bill, the Sejm condemned Russia had not sufficiently investigate the circumstances of death Magnitsky, and also stressed that Latvia has consistently opposed the blatant human rights violations, financial fraud and corruption.

The project was developed by the Commission of the diet on foreign Affairs. In the opinion of the Seimas in the list of undesirable to Latvia of persons you want to include involved in the Magnitsky case of foreigners, forbidding them entry into Latvia.

Related to the Magnitsky sanctions, prohibiting entry and use of the financial system of the States have already adopted such countries as USA, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, UK. The Russian authorities, in turn, has repeatedly stated about the inadmissibility of politicization of the «Magnitsky case».

Earlier, the Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Alexei chepa (a just Russia) told RIA Novosti that Russia will have to react if Latvia will adopt its own law, similar to the «Magnitsky act».
