Uzbekistan intends to launch a National electronic trade platform where overseas buyers can purchase goods of domestic enterprises-exporters, according to Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The corresponding order the President Shavkat Mirziyoev gave during the course of conference calls meeting to increase exports and reduce imports.

The new site should be started from 1 January 2019. A strategic partner in this project by South Korea.

Mirziyoev has set the task to create an electronic database of exporters, to create their electronic passport with information about the products, exports and other data.

Foreign trade turnover last year amounted to about $ 27 billion, including exports — about $ 14 billion, import — $ 13 billion.

Among the CIS countries the main foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan are Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which accounted for 28.7% of foreign trade turnover.

Among the other countries are China, Turkey, Republic of Korea, Germany, Afghanistan, Brazil, India, Iran, Latvia, Lithuania, France, USA, Italy, which accounted for 41.6% of total foreign trade turnover.
