Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the fire in the shopping centre, «Winter cherry» in Kemerovo and invited the Governor of the Kemerovo region Aman Tuleyev, the assistance, if necessary, in the organization of necessary medical assistance and the delivery of rare drugs of Israel and the United States.

«Please accept my most sincere condolences, on my behalf and on behalf of the entire Jewish community of Russia, in connection with the terrible disaster that claimed the lives of dozens of residents of Kemerovo. Now we pray that God rest the souls of the dead, sent down to comfort their families and friends; to people who have received wounds and burns, and who are now in hospitals, as soon as possible recovered,» — said in the text of the appeal, Berl Lazar, which was announced by his press service.

As noted by chief Rabbi of Russia, from time to time God sends the trials and in such a watch expects them to «manifestations of the best features inherent in a person – compassion, solidarity, readiness to help».

«I want to assure that the Jewish community of Russia is ready to provide its full potential to assist people for the life that is now fighting the Kemerovo doctors. In particular, if the victims need specific medical care or special medications that are not available in Russia, we could get them abroad with the help of our co-religionists in Israel, USA and other countries,» assured Lazar.
