The administration of the state Museum-monument «St. Isaac’s Cathedral» there were no conflicts with the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church, claiming the Church, told reporters the Director of the memorial Museum of Yuri Mudrov.

«No clashes or any kind of unpleasant situations we have with the Church leadership was not, and I think that will not happen,» he said.

Wise also noted that it still has no information on the possible transfer of St. Isaac’s Cathedral to the gratuitous use of the Russian Orthodox Church. «Today, we have no guidance, no suggestions, no other circumstantial evidence (the possibility of St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Russian Orthodox Church)», — he noted.

The situation around St. Isaac’s Cathedral caused a public outcry when the authorities of St. Petersburg decided to transfer the Cathedral for 49 years, the Russian Orthodox Church in the free use with preserving the Museum and educational functions. Later they said that the Cathedral is transmitted without a change of legal status — its owner is the city.

The public is concerned about the fate of Isaac, despite the statement of representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Museum functions will be expanded, and the entrance to the Cathedral will be free.
