Protection of the chief fire executives of Sergei Genin, accused of negligence in extinguishing a shopping centre, «Winter cherry» in Kemerovo, appealed the court’s decision that sent him under arrest, reported on the website of the court.

The Central district court of Kemerovo on Friday, April 13, granted the petition of the investigation and sent the Genin under arrest until June 11. According to the UK, Genin in the fire «ignored data on the short path to the people» and sent a subordinate for long, thus lost time. In SK noted that negligent actions led to the deaths of at least 37 people in the cinema on the fourth floor. In court, a firefighter told reporters that he does not consider himself guilty, as he and his team «did everything we could and could not.»

«The Central district court of Kemerovo accepted the appeal of the lawyer to protect the interests of the accused Genina the decision of the Central district court of Kemerovo on April 13, who was remanded in custody in relation to the Genin,» — said in the message.

The complaint will be forwarded to the higher authority – the Kemerovo regional court.

Earlier the lawyer Genina Elena Kiselyov told RIA Novosti that he considers unjust the arrest of his client, as he, in her opinion, acted strictly in accordance with the Charter of the Ministry of emergency situations, follow the instructions of the leader and, conversely, deserves a reward. At the same time, the lawyer admitted that he believes the prospects for satisfaction of her claim ghostly.

Fire in four-storey shopping centre, «Winter cherry» in Kemerovo took place on 25 March, killing 64 people, including 41 children. In the main, failed to get out of those who were at the cinemas. The number of victims of the Kemerovo fire — one of the four largest for 100 years.
