Owners of enterprises must bear a heavy responsibility for failure to perform their obligations to the workforce, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Kremlin website, the head of state in his suburban residence of Novo-Ogaryovo met with the Commissioner for human rights Tatyana Moskalkova, who presented to him the annual report. During the conversation she, in particular, raised the question of the employment situations that violated the rights of collectives.

«I have prepared an appeal to you. After analyzing the issues of failure to fulfill labor obligations to the teams, we came to the conclusion that often the owners of enterprises remain in good estate, for sufficiently large monetary capital, and in front of groups, they are not liable,» — said Moskalkova.

The President in turn agreed that a similar situation is happening in the banking sector, therefore we need a serious liability for owners, so that they strive to fulfil all their obligations.

«We have the same thing happening in the financial sector, the Bank owners do not bear subsidiary responsibility in case of adverse development of the situation and the bankruptcy of these financial institutions. We must work carefully to analyze the practice and to think about how to rectify this situation so that responsibility for all participants in this process lay quite serious and they would seek to fulfil all its obligations to customers, to staff. It is really very big, serious issue that we all have to work», — said the President.
