The Russian company «glavkosmos», the Moscow aviation Institute (MAI) and Liege space centre (Belgium) agreed on joint development of small satellites, the company said on Monday.
«The subject of the meeting was the project on joint development, manufacture and launch of small satellites CubeSat format. It is planned that in the framework of the joint work of experts from Belgium will develop optical payload operating in the infrared range. Objective of the MAI will be the design, fabrication and ground testing platform of small spacecraft», — stated in the message.
Glavkosmos will be responsible for overall coordination of work, and also for the launch into orbit on a rocket «Soyuz-2».
While we are talking only about the creation of experimental sample of a «technology Demonstrator».
