The EU is concerned about the possibility of a number of countries and non-state actors to conduct cyber attacks, condemns the use of viruses Wannacry and NotPetya, which led to significant economic losses in the EU and beyond, says approved on Monday by the EU foreign Ministers statement.

«The Council endorsed conclusions on malicious activities in cyberspace… the Council expresses serious concern with the empowerment and willingness of third States and non-state actors to achieve their goals through the implementation of such activities. The EU will continue to strengthen its capabilities to combat cyber threats», — the document says.

«The Council strongly condemns the malicious use of information and communication technologies, including such as Wannacry and NotPetya, which caused significant damage and economic losses in the EU and beyond its borders», — stated in the conclusions of the meeting of the foreign Ministers of the EU countries.
