Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Igor Albin said that stops using the Telegram channel.

«Being a law-abiding citizen of the Russian Federation stops using the Telegram channel. Thanks to all my subscribers and colleagues,» wrote Albin on his page in Facebook.

He also reported that he continues to use social networks Facebook and «Vkontakte». «All who are interested in my position, a man and a Manager will be able to see it on Facebook, Vkontakte, YouTube etc. keep in touch!» — wrote Vice-the Governor.

Tagansky court of Moscow on April 13 upheld the claim of Roskomnadzor about blocking Telegram messenger in Russia in connection with the failure to pass the FSB encryption keys. Representatives of Roskomnadzor and FSB told the court that the refusal of the Telegram to pass encryption keys for secret service threatens the interests of the state and society and may be in the hands of terrorists. The court allowed to block Telegram immediately, without waiting for the decision of the appeal. Messenger will be blocked in Russia, yet will not give the government the keys to decrypt user messages, the court decided.

On Monday, Roskomnadzor sent to the operators information about restricting access to a Telegram in accordance with the decision of the court. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the lock must be completed within 24 hours. Also Roskomnadzor began legally significant correspondence with all the app stores about the removal of Telegram.

The press service of the President of the Russian Federation decided on the messenger, which will replace the Telegram to communicate with journalists solved in ICQ.
