The US President Donald trump on Monday decided to suspend the introduction of new economic sanctions against Russia, which on Sunday said US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, according to the edition of the Washington Post, citing sources.

«Trump has consulted with the national security team Sunday evening, and said to them, what upset with the fact that the sanctions were officially announced, because he did not yet feel confident about their introduction,» — the newspaper writes.

On Sunday, the U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley said that the United States will announce new sanctions against Russia in connection with the situation in Syria on Monday. According to her, the new sanctions Washington against Moscow will relate to companies that have supplied Syria with technology that contributed to the production of chemical weapons.

In early April, the West has accused Damascus of using chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Duma. At the same time specialists of the Russian Center for conciliation of the warring parties (TSPVS) visited the site of the alleged incident and found no signs of toxins. In local hospitals, according to the TSPVS, there were no patients with symptoms characteristic of toxic substances.

Despite this, in the night of Saturday the US, Britain and France issued by Syria over a hundred missiles, most of whom were brought down by the Syrian air defense system. Three people had been injured. The blows struck before the start of the mission, the OPCW, which will go to the Duma on April 18.

Vladimir Putin called the military action «an act of aggression» against the people, which is «at the forefront of the fight against terrorism».
