Scientists from the University of Manchester found that people with a firm handshake differ in mental ability and memory developed in adulthood. Reported by the Daily Mail.

«We see a clear relationship between muscle strength and health of the brain. It is now necessary to establish whether we can develop your brain, doing what strengthens our muscles, such as barbell exercises», — said one of the study co-author Joseph Firth.

Scientists claim that people with a weak handshake are less dense white matter.

According to scientists, this study shows that the handshake it is possible to estimate possible changes in mental abilities in adulthood and old age.
