In Kabul on the eve of parliamentary elections was a blast

The explosion occurred Sunday at the center for the registration of voters in the Afghan province of Kabul on the eve of parliamentary elections, six people were injured, reports channel 1TV, citing sources in the health services.

The incident occurred in the West of Kabul, the cause of the explosion is not yet known. As reported by TV channel a representative of the police, Hashmat Stanikzai, arrived at the scene by medics and police. While any group in the region has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

This is not the first incident in the country in the upcoming elections. On Wednesday, the militants of the radical movement «Taliban»* kidnapped three employees of the election Commission of Afghanistan from the voter registration centre in the province of Gur.

Combined elections to the Parliament and the district councils of Afghanistan planned for October 2018, the registration of voters in the country was launched on 14 April. After opening of voter registration Afghan President Ashraf Ghani suggested the radical movement «Taliban»* to return to the peace process as a political movement and participate in the elections. The Taliban responded to the offer with a refusal.
