Prime Minister of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan after a short fruitless dialogue left the talks with the opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan, calls for his resignation, reports the correspondent of RIA Novosti.

In the beginning of the meeting Sargsyan said that the negotiations should not take place in the presence of journalists. Pashinyan said that will discuss his resignation only.

«If you are going to talk in this tone, I can only advise to return to the legal field and logic of action, otherwise the responsibility falls on you choose,» said Sargsyan.

Pashinyan said that no one dares to speak to him the language of threats, adding that the President does not represent the situation in the country. According to the leader of the opposition, the government «moved the people».

«Faction, who scored seven to eight percent, has no right to speak on behalf (of the people. — Approx. ed.). And I have no more desire to speak with you,» the President said, inviting journalists to draw conclusions.

He described the situation as blackmail and ultimatum, and then abruptly stood up and left the room.

In Armenia on April 13 held a protest against the election of Prime Minister ex-President of the country Serzh Sargsyan. The opposition accuses him of poor governance and worsening economic problems.
