Ukraine must respect international norms, it is impossible to apply pressure against media workers, said the expert of the Center for the study of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Academy of social Sciences of China At Anyuan, commenting on the situation around the portal RIA Novosti Ukraine, the head of which Cyril Vyshinsky detained SBU.

«Ukraine should respect international norms, it is impossible each time to apply pressure against media workers. Protection of freedom of judgment of the representatives of the media and freedom of gathering information are the international rules, to violate that is simply unacceptable,» — said in an interview with RIA Novosti expert.

According to him, Ukraine is unable for any reason to cause damage to international law, regardless of whether this is due to «the Crimean question», or the conflict in the country.

In turn, the chief editor of the influential Chinese newspaper Global Times, Hu West capital has expressed hope that the Ukrainian authorities will act on the basis of strict observance of the law and procedural rules and that will be guaranteed a fair trial.

General Director MIA «today Russia» Dmitry Kiselyov said that the Ukrainian authorities should immediately release Wyszynski and to cease harassment of the media. The Russian Embassy has sent the Ukrainian foreign Ministry a note of protest with the requirement to stop violence against media representatives. Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov also said that the Kremlin expected the harsh reaction of international organizations on the actions of the SBU.
